The Importance of Colonic Irrigation
Colonic irrigation is too often last on our "to do" list. Without a doubt, our society is overly concerned about external physical appearances. We bathe and shower, brush our teeth and hair, slather on lotions and makeup and wear clean clothes, all in the interest of appearing well-groomed.
However, the more important aspect of internal hygiene and cleansing is getting pushed to the bottom of our list of priorities…if it’s a priority at all! This is a bit scary considering that we also need to do internal cleansing to eliminate the toxins, impurities, and other disease-causing substances from our bodies. We come into contact with toxins on a daily basis. It’s found in our air, food, water, personal products, drugs, etc. Without doing internal cleansing on a regular basis, the toxins and impurities build up in our system wreaking havoc on our health and immune system.
We feel that the best way to do an internal cleanse is through a colonics. Its most active proponents are Dr. Norman Walker and Bernard Jensen, both of whom are recognized health experts in many areas of alternative medicine. Also, If you’ve tried herbal cleanses or other methods of detoxing, you’ll find that there is much less chance of you experiencing a ‘healing crisis’ (nausea, headaches, fatigue, etc ) after a colonic then with these other methods. I am personally a very sensitive cleanser. I’ve never been able to make it through any of these other types of cleanses as I experienced severe headaches and had to stop. I have many half finished boxes at home to prove it! I prefer the gentle cleansing method of colon therapy. Each to their own though as both methods have health benefits.
What It Is
Also known as colonic hydrotherapy because of its use of water, colonic irrigation is a safe, hygienic and effective procedure aimed at the removal of toxins, wastes, and other impurities from the bowel, specifically the large intestine or colon. Keep in mind that the colon is the site where water and salt from our solid wastes are extracted before said wastes are eliminated from the body. As such, the colon hosts plenty of bacteria to aid in the fermentation of unabsorbed materials that can build up in time and, thus, lead to digestive issues like diarrhea, constipation, and even cancer.
With a colonic, such build-up of wastes like impacted feces, dead tissues and even the remains of parasites and worms can be prevented or eliminated. The individual will then be at lesser risk of contracting various diseases and, hence, enjoy a healthier body.
What Are the Benefits
It must be emphasized that colonic irrigation is an adjunct therapy for various kinds of diseases. The many benefits of colonic irrigation include relief from the symptoms of bloating and flatulence, diarrhea and constipation, joint pain, irritable bowel syndrome and leaky gut syndrome, indigestion and other colon-related digestive issues/diseases.
You should expect to find your energy level increasing, better mental clarity, and potential weight loss as most people carry several pounds, if not more, of fecal matter in their colon. Since your body is getting rid of a lot of toxic waste, your blood is also being cleansed and your immune system improved. Your body PH level is being balanced and your absorption of nutrients from the food you eat you eat increased.
Since colonic irrigation cleanses the colon and helps to improve colon health, it decreases the risk of contracting problems like candidiasis or developing more serious diseases such as colon cancer. Of course, it is still imperative to adopt healthy lifestyle habits like a healthy diet, moderate exercise and sufficient sleep but regular colonic irrigations will go a long way toward better health.
